KID WOLF

Formed in the spring of 2016 in Somerville Massachusetts, Kid Wolf aims to blend the overdriven spirit of an electric rock band with the intricacies and vocal harmonies of an acoustic folk band.

Founding members Max Bouzinov and Mike Prisby first intended to depart from their blues rock foundations by forming a group based more on vocal melodies. After running a successful crowdfunding campaign to raise money for studio time, Kid Wolf worked with Boston producer Mike Davidson to record at his own Plaid Dog Recording Studio in Allston, MA, with the then release of their 5-track EP on August 24th, 2017.

While the initial duo setup proved to be successful, a full band arrangement had become an immediate goal. Chris Davis then joined the band to contribute drums and bass. This allowed Kid Wolf to play to larger audiences and define more of the back beat that they were previously missing. Building on the success of the trio format, the desire for more advanced harmonies as well as a more diverse guitar sound led to Anna Been joining the band on vocals and mixed percussion and Alex Mijailovic joining the band on lead guitar.

Kid Wolf continued building its fan base in and around Boston by playing shows at such venues as Hennessey’s Hooley House, The Middle East, Atwood’s Tavern, Night Shift Brewing and Thunder Road. In addition to gigging, Kid Wolf has been hard at work writing new material. In early 2018 Kid Wolf released their first new single, "Heart of the Sun," since becoming a 5-piece band.

While continuing work on material for a new record, the band underwent lineup changes that brought in new members Todd Waller on bass and Dan Fortunado on drums. The band is slated to enter the studio to begin recording EP 2 in 2020, with new shows and music on the horizon.
